On Sunday, October 4, the Centennial Committee is planning to have a Membership Recognition and Renewal. Long-time members will be recognized for their years at the church. There will also be a renewal of membership for 100 people in honor of the Centennial Celebration. A sign-up sheet to participate in the Renewal service will be posted on Rally Day. Don't miss your chance to be a part of this celebration!
The Children's Chior will be in need of small, medium and large suitcases, the older the better, for the Spring 2010 musical. There is obviously no hurry, as we don't need them until March. If you have 'em, please contact Pam.
Mark your calendars early for this year's annual United Methodist Women's Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, November 7th from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We will have many crafters exhibiting a variety of items, a tempting bakery, and a delicious lunch. If you would like to volunteer or donate, please contact Alice or Gene.
Saturday, September 12th, Third Saturday wil have our kickoff meeting. We will meet at the Wixson's at 6 p.m. Bring a dish to pass and some ideas of hwat you would like to see us do this year! If you have thought about joining this social group and just never got around to it, this would be a great time to start. RSVP by Sept. 6th to Terry Schumacher.

Bring your appetite, a chair, and a dessert to share to Lombard Commons shelter, rain or shine for a great early-fall lunch. $10 per person or $30 for your whole family buys you pulled pork sandwiches and summertime's best salads.
